Making it easy for students to meet people and play social sport

Curtin University welcomes thousands of new students each year and run excellent social sport competitions at their Bentley Campus. These competitions provide a social outlet and a great way to meet new people for the significant number of students attending from regional areas, interstate and overseas.
Providing an easy way for new students (and staff) to register, be placed in a team, meet new people and have an enjoyable sporting experience was the driver behind forming a partnership with Just Play in 2018.

Partnership Summary

Partnering with Just Play helps Curtin University Sport and Recreation better cater to individuals and small groups of people looking to meet people and play sport. Administration staff simply direct individuals to the Just Play website: justplay.com.au or Just Play mobile app to register. Once individuals register Just Play manage and support the team throughout the season, with members able to use the Just Play mobile app to check game details, RSVP and get support from Just Play as needed.

New students and staff in a University setting make for an excellent match with Just Play, as people are looking to meet new people and make friends. The use of technology to make the process of playing simple, efficient, and stress free for people who don’t have a whole team has resulted in high customer satisfaction from our players in these competitions. This partnership results in furthering our shared goal of having more participants and teams playing in Curtin University Sport and Recreation social competitions.
